Local boy Leo “Freakdaddy” Brown began his professional career while still in college at EKU
doing voice talent work for area agencies while pursuing a career in the music industry. After
turning down a lopsided record deal Leo went full-time into radio and has since worked as an
on-air talent, programming director, sales representative, sales manager, engineer, and general
manager. Leo is the proud parent of two adopted children, one foster child, and three adopted
doggies. He likes to spend free time fishing and golfing with his kids and can be found, as well,
after many years as a working musician, playing the local bar scene as an acoustic artist.
Leo is also the director of the construction nonprofit, Noise for Hope which is the charitable arm
of his contractor services business, BUCCS – Build United Complete Contracting Services.
