MEET, ‘BEERMAN’!
Kevin ‘BeerMan’ Bishop is a 30 year Lexington resident having worked in Classic Rock Radio throughout while holding down a career at Clark Distributing (‘Miller, Miller Lite, Coors, Corona, Guinness, Modelo and dozens more!
Father to Olivia, a Lexington homeowner and dog fanatic.  Concert-Goer, Happy Hour Lover and Karaoke crooner.  One of my favorite pastimes is visiting Comedy Off Broadway for their legendary lineup of celebrity comedians.
Hit me up at my Email below, I’d love to hear from ya!  Whether it’s a great Kentucky story, a new dog in your life, or a request for ‘Classic Cafe’ at Noon!
Born: Louisville, KY
Hobbies, Sports: If the NFL is on, I’m watching! “Bear Down” Chicago Bears!  Love getting out and playing some volleyball, softball, and kickball. I’m a single dad with 2 dogs, so in my free time, I’m cleaning.
Bands I’ve met: Aerosmith, Tyler Childers, Eddie Money…I try to meet comedians more than musicians. Some of my faves are Rob Schneider, Jimmy Pardo, Chad Daniels, and the late great Tim Wilson.
Favorite Foods: I am a total meat and potatoes guy.
Favorite Artists: Tom Petty, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Tom Petty with Mudcrutch, Tom Petty with the Traveling Wilburys…I also enjoy Fleetwood Mac, Johnny Cash, Mumford and Sons, the Allman Brothers, and Pearl Jam….oh and Tom Petty.
Cocktail: uh…BEER! Usually the darker the better. I will shoot a little tequila too.
Vacation Spot: I’ve been fortunate to travel the entire US including Alaska and Hawaii, Ireland, the Caribbean, Canada and Mexico, but my go-to vacation is to hit up a National Park.
Movies: I really like a silly comedy. Adam Sandler flicks. King Kong, Planet of the Apes and the Jurassic Park franchise.
TV: I still watch Seinfeld, white noise while I stare at my phone, fishing shows, and a documentary or two.
Family: I have a young daughter, 2 small dogs, and a vacant position in the wife department!  Applications currently being considered.
Brush with Greatness that didn’t go well: I bumped into John Mellencamp as he exited a gas station restroom. This was when The Scarecrow album was crazy popular and I was speechless! He left with one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen (Elaine Irwin), hopped in his Porsche and was gone.
